The Opportunity

In this role, you will have the opportunity to prepare and present Front-end loading, Opinion, and Design Build estimates for a diverse client base.

Key Responsibilities

Responsible in preparing and presenting complete estimates during the project phase development from concept through 100% design complete inclusive of both design build and owners engineer (opinion) estimates.

Prepare and present variance reports as the project progresses through the design phases.

Perform productivity analysis of estimates.

Prepare contingency, escalation, and reconciliations for estimates.

Attend all required project meetings.

Prepare an estimate plan with the project team and identify the division of responsibility to meet all required deliverables.

Coordinate with project key department stakeholders identified in the estimate plan to meet the project timelines and milestones.

Attend owner meetings with the project team to present and discuss project estimate cost.

Performcomparisons of scope, quantities, and cost data between projects.

Preparemanagement presentations and develop the estimate basis.

Updateand maintain historical cost data.

Reviewdesigns and specifications for cost effectiveness and suggests alternatives where appropriate.

Supportcontinuous improvement efforts and the change management effects associated with the implementation of improvements.

Management Responsibilities

Individual Contributor

Preferred Qualifications

Degree in Construction Management or Engineering preferred, or minimum years of industry experience.

6+ years of industrial manufacturing facility (food, bev, process) estimating.

Field and/or project experience is a plus.

Minimum Qualifications

6+ years of estimating experience.

All applicants must be able to complete pre-employment onboarding requirements (if selected) which may include any/all the following: criminal/civil background check, drug screen, and motor vehicle records search, in compliance with any applicable laws and regulations.

Skills:

Complex estimating principles and practices including conceptual estimating.

Cost analysis.

Mathematical skills.

Understand construction means and methods.

Consulting skills.

Analytical skills.

Interpret and understand specifications and contracts .

Microsoft Excel proficiency .

Drawing take-off tools such as Bluebeam and On-Screen.

Estimating software experience.

Good verbal and written communication skills.

Good presentation and interpersonal communication skills.
