  Material Handler

  12 hour shifts - continental 07.00 am to 7.00 pm and 7pm to 07.00 am

The impact you will have could be anything from delivering products that help a scientist discover a cure for cancer to helping a nurse care for a patient effectively because they have the right equipment.

  A Day in the Life:

  Scan and receive manufactured product from Production into Warehouse

  Work in one or more process paths; receiving, picking, packing, or shipping and environmental.

  Package and label shipments according to standard operating procedures and complete documentation requirements.

  Send and receive stock to and from 3rd party warehousing.

  Actively reduce waste and damage within the warehouse environment

  Loading and unloading vehicles

  Process customer orders daily to meet their expectations.

  Perform physical inventory checks.

  Maintain a safe working environment.

  Actively participate in PPI initiatives

  Perform any other duties activities as reasonably requested by management

  Help ensure inventory is stored accurately.

  Work flexibly as required to achieve company goals and targets

  Work with your team to make sure everyone has a magical experience working at Thermo Fisher Scientific.

  Keys to Success:

  Education

  GSCE or equivalentExperience

  Essential previous general warehouse experience.

  Experience with powered industrial trucks (reach, counter and pallet truck).

  Experience with computers and scanning equipment preferred.

  Literate & Numerate

  Team player and flexible

  Can do attitude

  Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

  Ability to stand and move about the warehouse for significant periods of time (involving walking, stooping, bending, and reaching) required.

  Ability to maintain a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.

  Desire to work as part of a team, but also able to work independently and solve problems.

  Ability to read and write in English.

  Maintain a good standard of housekeeping at all times.

  Ability to lift, carry, and push up to 25kg frequently and 50kg occasionally.
