Description
A private school located in West Los Angeles is looking for a Human Resources Manager to start immediately. This is a stand-alone position and you will oversee the day-to-day operations of the Human Resources office for the school. Your main job duties will include:
Promoting, planning, implementing, and evaluating employee relations and human resources policies, programs, and practices.
Managing the recruitment process for all positions
Maintenance of the Employee Handbook including updates annually with the legal team.
Assisting with new employee onboarding, orientation, and terminations, including preparation of all employee and faculty employment agreements, including updates with the legal team.
Maintaining confidential personnel records in accordance with Best Practice, including compensation agreements, benefit plans enrollments, and COBRA implantation with the assistance of our brokers, I-9’s, and professional development documentation.
Administering employee benefit programs such as life, disability, health, dental and vision insurance retirement plans, vacation, personal days, sick leave, and leave of absence workers’ compensation.
Planning and administering, with the support of an Insurance Broker, the annual benefits enrollment, as well as ensuring all School systems are updated and insurance carriers are provided accurate information;
Hiring and supporting the hiring process for all personnel by working with managers, approving job postings, preparing offer letters, and providing benefits information to prospective new hires.
Assist department heads with annual Orientation in August of each year.
Assist HOS and Deans in the annual review, preparation, and administration of the school’s compensation program.
Assist HOS in preparing and analyzing the school’s benefits and salary budget.
Prepares and/or coordinates the distribution of employee communication materials in a timely fashion, including new hire paperwork, benefits information, policies, and procedures (including Employee Handbook)
The salary range for this position is $80k-100k. This is an on-site position and our client is open to contract to hire or direct hire. Hours are 8am-4:30pm with some light overtime.
