Overview of the Role
Our UK Institutional Sales team is seeking a VP to service Nuveen’s growing insurance client base out of the London office.
The successful candidate would focus on developing and maintaining new and exiting relationships with the firm’s insurance clients operating in the UK market whilst contributing more broadly with larger global relationships.
The individual will support our growing presence in key insurance markets, promoting a wide suite of investment solutions. The firm will support the successful candidate development with training in product knowledge, process & systems, relationship management and other key skills.
Key responsibilities will include :
Establish and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective clients to broaden Nuveen’s insurance client base in the UK.
Drive new revenue and new mandate generation across Nuveen’s investment capabilities and client types.
Be a subject matter expert on the UK insurance ecosystem, trends and key market developments.
Lead robust client and prospect meetings and engagement activity.
Work collaboratively with partners within Nuveen to drive new business opportunities and solve complex insurance client issues and challenges.
Technical Skills & Qualifications Required :
Good understanding of the UK insurance ecosystem, key industry trends and developments.
Familiarity with key regulatory, capital and accounting regimes impacting insurers operating in the UK market.
Demonstrable track record within institutional sales with insurance clients.
Established network of key decision makers within UK and global insurance companies. Good knowledge of the Lloyd’s of London market is preferred.
Track record of building strong working partnerships and effectively managing client expectations.
Solid product and investment knowledge in the context of insurance asset management.
Relevant level 4 FCA recognised qualification essential e.g. IMC, CFA level 1 or CIIA.
Undergraduate and/or postgraduate degree preferable.
Self-motivated individual, with the ability to take ownership to ensure outcomes are achieved.
