The Opportunity
This position works out of our Wiesbaden, EMEAP headquarter (Abbott GmbH) in the Abbott Diabetes Care division that is focused on helping people with diabetes manage their health with life-changing products that provide accurate data to drive better-informed decisions.
As Marketing Manager Media & Communications (m/f/d) you will be responsible to accelerate the acquisition of new patients by building brand equity throughout the entire customer lifecycle – including awareness, consideration, trial, recommendation, and advocacy - and to identify the most efficient media investment strategies to drive and support not just acquisition but also retention.
What You’ll Do
Leading the brand communication and media planning strategies for the FreeStyle Libre brand in collaboration with the central media agency and local marketing teams from across EMEAP markets.
Owning the integrated media planning process, including brief approval, planning, result tracking and optimization across EMEAP, accounting for all media types and touchpoints.
Effectively collaborate with internal and external stakeholders across markets and functions.
Leading the central EMEAP media agency relationships and local marketing peers to direct media activities in alignment with the area.
Fostering collaboration and develop of optimal working processes to create high quality integrated and consistent communication campaigns that elevate the brand to the next level.
Owning the agency masterplan and central media budget and consult on local budget allocation.
Implementing brand and communication effectiveness tracking, deliver value maximization and feed results into upcoming communication development & media strategies.
Providing best practice guidance and overseeing capability building and training sessions with media agency and across EMEA marketeers.
Leading the development and planning of several media strategies that incorporate all media channels and diverse audiences.
Qualifications & Skills
University Degree in Business/Marketing, Science or related fields
+8 years marketing experience and experience working with/ or in a media agency on local and ideally also regional level.
Proven track record in developing, planning, and activating integrated communication campaigns.
Experience in leading the implementation of media strategies across divers media channels and target groups.
Experience in leading paid search strategy and optimization and relationships with communications agencies and other creative/content vendors.
Fluent English language skills in word and writing. Excellent writing and communication skills with an eye for detail.
Excellent presentation, communication, and motivational skills
Willingness to travel (25%)
