About Finance Manager, North America Reliability, Maintenance and Engineering (RME) Finance

  Description

RME Finance Managers have ownership over all things cost when it comes to providing network FP&A support (MEC, Controllership and Operational Planning Cycles) for the various North America Field RME teams. The ability to learn and be curious while working through a high degree of complex ambiguity in order to think big while inventing and simplifying for process improvement is mission critical.

  Key job responsibilities

Month End Close for Personnel and PRM (Parts/Repairs/Maintenance) accounts

End to end ownership of the financial planning cycles which include forecast modeling, bridging, network partnership and documentation

Controllership responsibilities for headcount and coupa management

Earning trust and partnering with key stakeholders and cross functional teams in Field and Central RME along with network leaders in Finance and Operations

Invent and simply processes to drive efficiency and improvement over current standard work

Thinking big to deliver scalable solutions to better understand cost and where opportunities exist to improve

Field RME and Finance partnership to drive education and resources allowing the field to better understand and manage cost performance

Leveraging internal systems to deep dive financial and productivity results to drive action (QuickSight, PowerBI, SQL, PAX, Cognos, CAMP)

  A day in the life

While the FP&A portion of the role is cyclical with MEC (Day 1-5 each month) and budget cycles (5 per year) at the core of what we do, the opportunity to add value and drive change is seemingly endless. While no two days are ever the same, 85% of your time is focused on core FP&A/controllership, with the other 15% focused on solving complex problems. You partner with network leaders and deliver data driven insight to affect change and improve cost efficiency for our internal and external customers.
