Anticipated period of employment: 03/18/2024 to 11/25/2024

　　All applicants must have at least 3 months experience hand harvesting a perishable crop. Must be physically able to meet and perform all job specifications stated in job order. Must be able to work in the hot humid weather for extended periods of time. Applicants must be able to furnish affirmative job references from recent employers operating comparable operations establishing acceptable previousexperience. Must be physically able to meet and perform all job specifications stated in job order. Workers are subject to random drug testing at no cost to the employee.

　　Crops: Beans, Squash, Melons, Greens, Asian Vegetables, Long Beans, Bittermelon, Water Squash, Long Squash, Shanghai Bok Choy, Amaranth, Cauliflower, and other vegetable.

　　Workers will perform various duties all associated with planting, cultivation and harvesting crops named in this order. Workers will also build boxes, clean, grade, sort pack and load harvested crops.Vegetables: Workers will plant cultivate and harvest vegetables. Workers will bend and stoop to pick vegetables according to size, color, shape and degree of maturity and place into field containers. Workers may carry full container weighing approximately forty (40) lbs. and empty into field bin or load onto trailer. May be required to pull and discard culls as directed by supervisor. Pickers will take care not to bruise or scar produce. Pre-harvest and harvest activities may include transplanting, hoeing, hand weeding, stringing, and staking, hand seeding, trimming, scaling, water cooling, cutting vines, cleaning mulch plastic and drip tape and general ship care up to and after harvest. Workers will stand on feet for long periods of time. Workers are required to work in fields when plants are wet with dew or rain. Temperatures in fields during working hours can range from forty (40) to over one hundred (100) degrees. Workers will be required to operate trucks, tractors, mowers, forklift and other farm equipment during field or packing operations as an incidental activity in the production of crops. Workers may be required to perform general maintenance and make repairs to farm equipment.

　　Only workers meeting all qualifications on the job order should be referred by the Job Service Office. Interested candidates must contact their local employment office to receive a copy of the job order (ETA 790/790A) and applicable attachments. Once the applicant has a copy of the job contract they may apply directly to employer by calling Damon Chen Monday through Thursday 8:00 am until 12:00 pm.
