This Position is for a Facilities Manager with a work location in Cleveland, MS.
Your role as a {Facilities Manager} positions you to be directly involved in the physical production that enables Baxter to fulfill our mission to save and sustain lives. This is where you will manage and coordinate the activities of the maintenance organization to insure efficient daily performance of manufacturing equipment. You will monitor and control labor and capital expenditures and perform all duties with a focus on optimizing safety, quality, service and cost.
Your Team
What you'll be doing
Responsible for implementing and supervising daily maintenance activities in the production, critical utilities and facility areas. Coordinates preventive and planned maintenance activities as required.
Interviews, hires, trains, coaches, motivates, develops, recognizes and manages performance of direct reports.
Leads projects to support evolving business needs.
Participates in the decision to purchase new equipment.
Research, assess and give input to proposal for capital projects and new technology and equipment installations.
Lead site energy management programs.
Ensure execution and documentation of effective and appropriate equipment maintenance.
Identify, initiate and facilitate lean manufacturing activities and initiatives, such as 6S, visual management, kaizens. Track KPIs and identify continual improvements such as downtime reduction and scrap reduction.
Develop, implement and maintain business processes, standard operating procedures and work instructions.
Maintains network to local and regional maintenance companies and equipment suppliers to support the facility's maintenance needs.
Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office and ability to use enterprise software such as JDE/SAP. Experience with CMMS -- computerized maintenance management systems required. Proficiency with Maximo preferred.
Proven track record of driving continual Improvement in Safety and quality.
Experience and aptitude for redesign and modification to enhance equipment performance.
Ability to modify or develop control logic to enhance equipment performance.
Ability to read and understand mechanical, electrical drawings, flowcharts, and/or other drawings of a technical nature.
Ability to work under pressure and respond with a sense of urgency and motivate team to do the same.
Ability and willingness to expand knowledge and scope in maintenance techniques and new equipment technologies.
Proven track record of interpersonal and leadership skills with ability to interface well with other departments and lead effectively and efficiently in a team environment. Must be able to set clear goals and expectations and drive accountability throughout department.
Availability to support plant's hours of operation and be on call as required.
What you'll bring
Bachelor's degree required (Engineer or Technical degree preferred)
Minimum 5 years' experience in a manufacturing environment with experience in a GMP regulated environment strongly preferred.
Minimum of 5 years of Management/leadership experience required.
Experience with CMMS -- computerized maintenance management systems required.
Proficiency with Maximo preferred.
