Molnlycke is now hiring an EHS Specialist in Maine. The EHS Specialist is responsible for supporting Molnlycke Maine’s environmental, health, and safety systems, ensuring a safe work environment, and ensuring compliance obligations with regulatory bodies. This position will be responsible for supporting both the Wiscasset and Brunswick facilities.
What you’ll do :
Oversee and provide administrative support for the EHS program, ensuring compliance.
Collaborate with leadership to implement ISO 14001 and 45001 standards, addressing local, state, and federal regulatory requirements.
Develop and maintain procedures, policies, and forms in response to requests from governmental organizations.
Coordinate and conduct EHS training for employees, managing and maintaining training records to meet regulatory requirements.
Establish and manage a system for accident investigations, including root cause analysis and corrective actions.
Take ownership of employee-led safety committees at both facilities, driving engagement.
Lead the first responder committee at all Maine facilities.
Manage safety audits, ensuring completion of monthly walks and updating hazard reports daily.
Conduct periodic inspections and maintain records for compliance obligations.
Schedule and maintain records for employee health testing.
Manage SDS system and hazardous waste disposal in accordance with regulations.
Oversee the Pristine Condition / POP’s coaching program.
Ensure compliance of manifests for hazardous and non-hazardous waste.
Assist in signing manifests for waste disposal after receiving required training.
Manage the employee PPE voucher system, including distribution, verification, and budget reconciliation.
Travel between both facilities in Maine.

What you’ll need :
Education in environmental, occupational health, safety, or a related scientific field preferred.
Experience with regulatory agencies (OSHA, DEP, EPA, etc.) preferred.
Familiarity with ISO 14001 and 45001 environments preferred.
Operational experience is a plus.
Minimum of 2+ years of working experience in the EHS field.
Demonstrated leadership capabilities.
