Description: Performs routine and complex EEG studies for various age groups from neonate to
Geriatric.
Essential Functions:
• Proficient in performing routine and complex EEG studies in the outpatient and inpatient
setting.
• Able to calibrate and adjust lab equipment.
• Maintains proper functioning of EEG machine and supplies.
• Responsible for keeping the equipment clean.
• Prepares procedure room and patients for procedure.
• Records information in patient's medical record.
• Schedules appointments and completes appropriate forms as required by the department.
• Performs other related duties as necessary.
• Customer Service: Practices customer service standards as defined by the Medical Center and
department.
• Anticipates the customer's needs, takes proactive steps to meet those needs, by listening and
taking responsibility within the scope to ensure issues are resolved.
• Promptly responds to alarms and patient requests.

• Adheres to all infection Control Policies including proper hand Hygiene

Basic Qualifications:
• Minimum of one (1) year experience performing EEG procedures.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Completion of a course of study consistent with the requirements for EEG technicians as
specified by the Medical Board of California.
• BLS certification
• Ability to use personal computer.
• Ability to read, write, and comprehend medical information.
• Ability to effectively present information, both verbal and written.
• Must be willing to work in a Labor Management Partnership environment.
• Refer to Position Specifications outlined in the appropriate collective bargaining agreement.
