  Job Description The Visa Commercial Solutions (VCS) team is a world-class commercial organization experiencing tremendous growth as we expand into new payment flows and continue to grow our core solutions. Our team brings payment solutions and associated services to clients around the globe.  Our global clients and partners deploy our solutions to serve the needs of Small Businesses, Middle Market Clients, Large Corporate Clients, Multi Nationals and Governments.  We work closely with Issuers, Merchants, FinTechs and other ecosystem players to deliver these services.  We believe that the market is at an inflection point whereby Visa can play a larger role in building and delivering solutions around the world. 

  The Director - Product Engagement and Solutions is responsible for technical solutioning, client engagement and “voice of the customer” for Visa Commercial Solutions.   As our product suite grows and develops more complex options for clients, it’s imperative that we have specific, deep knowledge of our capabilities to help solution with them. This position is accountable for assisting the regions and sales teams with detailed discussions on the products to ensure understanding, scope and identify where/how our clients can make the most use of our capabilities. Specific activities include deep demos, solutioning around specific use cases and applications, identification of needs which may or may not require development and smooth onboarding of clients.

  The ideal candidate is an experienced product manager or sales engineer that understands both the business and technical aspects of payments and has a track record of delivering solutions that exceed client expectations. This role requires strategic thinking, innovation, collaboration, and creative problem-solving skills. The candidate will bring prior experience in hands-on client management, sales solutioning and close knowledge of developments in B2B payments. The candidate must be creative and hands-on, have a bias towards action and is able to inspire others with their vision.

  Responsibilities

  Provide technical sales solutioning.  Product types include virtual card solutions, API integrations for B2B payment capabilities, and complex SaaS offerings such as Enterprise and Small Business expense and card management solutionsWork hand in hand with sales teams, regional solution specialists and potential clients, answering questions as well as providing recommendations on the best way to use the product to achieve the desired outcomes. This in-depth experience with clients will also transfer into implementation with appropriate handoffs to Client ServicesAssist the sales teams in region to close a deal, identify best in class ways to use and implement the product which achieves the goals without development and identify necessary areas of development and customer need within the Global Product teamPart of the Global Product team.  Act as a resident expert on product capabilities, use cases, and roadmap.  Support stakeholder questions related to products and services.  Communicate and evangelizes product roadmap with key stakeholdersRationalize regional product enhancement requests and develop business requirements to support new use cases.  This includes developing business cases to aid in prioritization of development resources and related investmentsDuring discovery with clients, identify new use cases for our products and help prioritize new development.  Work with regional and global sales/account executives to identify and enable use cases related to commercial applications with the goal of scalingCreate product documentation and content as input to key artifacts such as Service Activation Guides and Client Implementation GuidesKey contributor to User Acceptance TestingProvide project management support for unique, client driven projects This position is to be based in our Denver, CO office location.  Relocation assistance will not be provided.

  This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.

  Qualifications Basic Qualifications

  12 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or 8-10 years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 6+ years of work experience with a PhD Preferred Qualifications

  10+ years of relevant sales engineering or product management experience, preferably in B2B paymentsStrong understanding of commercial payments with in-depth knowledge of virtual card payments, value-added solutions for corporates, payment tokenization, and issuer processing platforms/providersExtensive experience with modern API concepts, technical integration, and file deliveryProven ability to lead a range of initiatives end-to-end to meet client commitments with a customer-centric orientationDemonstrated success in delivering complex initiatives in a matrixed and distributed global organizationNatural collaborator, with excellent communication skills and executive presence. Must be self-motivated and comfortable with ambiguity, and have the ability to influence across multiple levels and organizations including internal and external stakeholdersAdept strategic thinker, problem solver and results-oriented pragmatistStrong oral and written communications as well as influencing and negotiation skills. Able to communicate complex, technical concepts in a focused and well-organized mannerWillingness to take on new challenges, explore new ideas and be flexible with changing prioritiesProject Management experience with complex software solutions Additional Information Work Hours: Varies upon the needs of the department.

  Travel Requirements: This position requires travel 5-10% of the time.

  Mental/Physical Requirements: This position will be performed in an office setting.  The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.

  U.S. APPLICANTS ONLY: The estimated salary range for a new hire into this position is 139,200.00 to 181,100.00 USD, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity. Visa has a comprehensive benefits package for which this position may be eligible that includes Medical, Dental, Vision, 401 (k), FSA/HSA, Life Insurance, Paid Time Off, and Wellness Program.
