Summary:
Manages, directs, coordinates and oversees the overall operations of the Patient Access department, including, but not limited to: scheduling of new and established patients, point of service payment operations, both new and established patients and patient insurance registration and ongoing verification, admissions and registration. Manages, directs and oversees the operations, programs and finances of the assigned departments/subdivisions within Patient Access; works with the managers and supervisors to establish goals, plans, programs and operations that are consistent with the organization's vision and mission, ensure financial responsibility as well as efficient and effective operations and optimal outcomes; designs systems/methods that will effectively evaluate Patient Access department's performance in relation to established goals and will lead efforts to implement changes to improve services.
Salary range for this position is $120,187 - $151,674 which includes a comprehensive benefits.
Qualifications:
Required Education and Experience
1. Master's Degree in Business or Healthcare Administration with 8 years of work experience in Patient Access and /or Revenue Cycle Operations; or
2. Bachelor's Degree in Business or Healthcare Administration with 10 years of work experience in Patient Access and /or Revenue Cycle Operations; or
3. Associate's Degree in Business or Healthcare Administration with 12 years of work experience in Patient Access and /or Revenue Cycle Operations.
4. High School Diploma or High School Equivalency Diploma and the equivalent of fourteen (14) years of full-time work experience in Patient Access and/or Revenue Cycle Operations.
NOTE:
Required degrees must have been granted by an accredited college or university or one recognized by Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center as following acceptable educational practices.
Preferred Qualifications
The preferred candidate should have experience with supervising staff, hospital registration/admissions, and scheduling clinical outpatient visits. In addition, the preferred candidate should have worked on design, development, and implementation for institutional projects regarding operations.
