The Role
In this leadership role you will drive innovation in the Data Strategy space for the Workplace Investing (WI) division of Fidelity Investment. You will work with WI Architects to drive the strategy and adoption of emerging data technologies to help the modernization of legacy mainframe applications along with many other innovative. You will work closely with business partners and technology teams to understand business objectives and help define the appropriate architecture direction!
The Expertise and Skills You Bring
Education - BS or MS required.Ability to formulate Data Strategy, Conceptual Architecture and work with development teams to execute the strategySolid grasp of relational and non-relational database technologies and experience with event driven architectureDemonstrated experience developing enterprise applications and data solution in the cloud - Azure/AWSExperience architecting large complex systems with large volume and high-performance requirementsWork collaboratively with Enterprise Architects across business units to create one Fidelity Architecture StrategyWork with Fidelity Legal, Risk, Compliance, and Cybersecurity teams to ensure safe and secure treatment of our enterprise, client, and customer data in public cloudAbility to formulate Data Strategy, Conceptual Architecture and work with development teams to execute the strategyGood understanding of Data Modeling concepts including 3rd normal form and dimensional modelingExperience with data management practice including data integration, data security, data warehousing, data analytics, metadata management and data qualityUnderstanding of mainframe technology desired but not neededStrong analytical and problem-solving skills, excellent written and oral communication skillsExperience with programming languages like Java, Python and SQLExperience developing enterprise solutions using Spark (AWS EMR, Azure Synapse, DataBricks)Experience with GraphQL, RESTful APIs and defining data consumption patternsCI/CD experience using tools like GIT, Artifactory, Jenkins, etc.Experience with NoSQL data stores such as Redis, Neo4j, DynamoDB, AerospikeExperience with streaming technologies such as KakfaUnderstanding of Cloud Database technologies like Yugabyte, CockroackDB
