JOB REQUIREMENTS: SCOPE OF ROLE The Quality Inspector is responsible formaintaining quality standards by auditing in-process production, performin-process/final inspections, and wash/clean finished products includingdocumentation of inspections. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Duties andResponsibilities Inspects in-process production at specific hold pointsInspects finished products by confirming specifications on blueprints,conducting visual and/or measurement tests and returning products forrework as necessary Inspects re-worked products Performs accuratemechanical, physical, and visual inspection of raw material, components,and sub-assemblies Coordinates the return of unacceptable materialsDocuments and reports inspection findings and results and monitorscorrective actions to inspection findings Initiates non-conformancereports (material rejection notices) as required Conducts various testsand quality checks on finished products ensuring the product has beentested and falls within standards Examines material or product forsurface defects such as cracks, pits, and incomplete welds Comparesproduct with parts list to ensure completion of assembly Rejectsdefective parts, marking type of defect on part, container of parts, orinspection tag Interprets engineering drawings, diagrams, and conferswith management or Engineering Department to determine quality andreliability standards Maintains the calibration program Performsinternal quality audits Performs other quality system processes at thedirection of the Quality Manager Inspects finished product for qualityFollows workflow processes and standard work instructions Problem solvesand communicates effectively with work team Contributes ideas forcontinuous improvement of workflow and processes Follows all safetyguidelines and procedures Performs other duties as assigned Continuallyworking in confined spaces Continually working on elevated workspace(12\'-15\' above ground) Internal and External wash/clean of finalproducts ***** OTHER EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS: Interpersonal,Leadership, and Technical Skills Proficient with inspection tools andhand tools such as tape measures, micrometers, and calipers Ability toread engineering drawings, specifications, and inspection instructionsAbility to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure,using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals Ability to computerate, ratio, and percentage Excellent computer skills and proficiency inWord, Excel, Outlook, Unipoint Knowledge of geometric tolerances Abilityto manage multiple tasks Excellent written and verbal communicationskills Excellent organizational skills Excellent attendance anddependability Reading comprehension, knowledge of mathematics and use ofactive listening skills Critical thinking, logic, and reasoning totroubleshoot and solve problems Time management techniques to performjob efficiently Mechanical ability, working without supervision andcommitment to highly accurate work Knowledge of DOT, FDA, ASME, TTMA,and 3-A, guidelines a plus Ability to perform inspections in confinedspaces, and above ground level ***** APPLICATION INSTRUCTIONS:E-Mail a Rsum: [email protected]
