Robert Half is in search of Desktop Support Technician for a defense technology company based out of Orange County. This Desktop Support Technician position will support key day-to-day processes such as: technical support for software and hardware, configuring Windows, Linux and Apple computers with latest software and assisting with various upgrades across the company's tech-fleet. This Desktop Support Technician will also support in maintaining the company's inventory and asset management program.

Desktop Support Technician Responsibilities:

Imaging and deployment of endpoint hardware. Laptops, desktops, monitors, and peripherals.

On-site technical support for software and hardware in the Costa Mesa HQ.

Repair, refurbishment, RMA, e-waste of desktops, laptops, and mobile devices.

Maintain endpoints for software updates, device management, and our security baseline configuration.

Inventory and Asset management of all endpoint hardware.

Collecting orders for IT Hardware from shipping and receiving.

Requirements

Desktop Support Technician Requirements:

2-5 years’ experience in PC/Apple hardware and operation systems supporting experience (Win 10/11, Mac OS)

Endpoint Management tools such as SCCM, JAMF, Kace, Workspace One, etc. (any can apply)

Must be strong with endpoint management, new deployments, equipment/device setup, etc.

Must be eager, motivated, collaborative, reliable, passionate, and tech-savvy

Enthusiastic attitude to make a positive impact

Need to be OK with some heavy lifting – deploying monitors and peripherals to workstations

Need to have good attitude and drive, high performing expectation/environment – if you can’t keep up, you will be left behind.

Ticketing experience (for desktop-related incidents), deskside support, hands-on tasks, etc.

Office 365, Windows OS, Mobile Devices, Hardware, Mac OS (preferable)

Excellent knowledge of PC and Apple hardware, detailed oriented, communicative

Preferred:

Jira Service Desk

Classified Systems Experience, DoD Security Clearance, or Top Secret/Secret Clearance

OKTA or similar Identity tools

Linux Ubuntu

Video Conferencing tools such as Zoom or related
