This Dental Provider Relations Advocate role with UnitedHealth Group will call on your knowledge, energy, and commitment to making health care work more effectively for more people.   The Dental Provider Advocate is responsible for a full range of provider relations and service interactions within UnitedHealth Group, including being the face of UnitedHealthcare (UHC) Dental whether in-person or over the phone. This role is responsible for developing, enhancing and delivering provider education programs, addressing escalated high-level complex issues, and communicating resolution in a professional well written manner. The role also ensures the network composition includes an appropriate distribution of provider specialties through spot recruitment as needed. Candidates must reside in the state of Michigan and will focus primarily on our Medicare lines of business.

  Primary Responsibilities:

  Contribute to design and implementation of programs that build positive relationships between the dental plan, providers, practice managers, and internal stake holders

  Manage Government Programs

  Address high-level escalated issues and communicate resolution to stakeholders

  FQHC and key dental practice relationship owner

  May require up to 10% travel for in-person visits for network maintenance, education, dental meetings, and ensuring solid provider relationships

  Targeted Provider recruitment and retention as needed

  Years of post-high school education can be substituted/is equivalent to years of experience.

  Required Qualifications:

  3+ year experience in a dental office and/or a network management related role, such as contracting, provider relations or provider services

  Medicaid or Medicare regulation and reimbursement methodology experience

  Knowledge of dental nomenclature

  Knowledge of dental claim processing systems and guidelines

  May require up to 10% travel for in-person visits for network maintenance, education, dental meetings, and ensuring solid provider relationships

  Reside within the state of Michigan

  Preferred Qualifications:

  Provider negotiation and contracting experience

  Knowledge of dental products/providers

  Intermediate Microsoft Excel skill set with ability to manipulate a large volumes of data

  Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  Solid interpersonal skills, ability to establish rapport and work well with others

  California, Colorado, Connecticut, Hawaii, Nevada, New Jersey, New York, Rhode Island, or Washington Residents Only: The salary range for California, Colorado, Connecticut, Hawaii, Nevada, New Jersey, New York, Rhode Island, or Washington residents is $58,300 to $114,300 per year. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, UnitedHealth Group offers benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
