Purpose
The Document Controller’s primary role is to provide administrative support to the Training Department while working in collaboration with the Mine Department to ensure that all key documents are being accounted for in an organized manner. The successful candidate must demonstrate exemplary organizational skills along with a positive and energetic personality.
Responsibilities
Digitalization of key training documents for ease of access
Create organized tracking systems
Maintaining accurate training records while collaborating with multiple departments
Ensure all training material is formatted in a professional manner
Scheduling of site orientations for new employees
Report preparation to help identify any training gaps
Continually display diligence to ensure legislative compliance and adherence to safety measures
Requirements
Minimum grade 12 or equivalent
2-3 years’ experience in an administrative and / or training roles (Preferably in a Mine Setting)
Willing to work in a camp setting. (Fly in / Fly Out Camp)
Strong time-management skills and ability to multi task
Comfortable working with confidential/sensitive information
Knowledgeable in interpretation of Ministry of Labour standards would be considered an asset
Excellent Oral and Written Communication Skills
Strong Commitment to Working Safely
Proficient in the Microsoft Office Suite
Previous experience utilizing SAP would be considered an asset.
Ability to adapt to changing conditions/situations in a calm professional manner
Working Conditions
The work schedule for this position is 4 days on, 3 days off – 10 hour shifts.
