Description:
Medical Device manufacturer located in Minneapolis is looking for a Customer Service Representative to help support patients that are new to using Continence medical equipment. These products are Catheters, Ostomy bags, Urology products, and many more.
The Continence Advisor's role is to make an outbound call to a patient, who may have just visited the doctor for stomach pains, and now is required to use a catheter to go to the bathroom 3 times a day. This could be a very traumatic time for the patient who just received a brief 5 minute instruction from the nurse who took them in for standard stomach issues. The goal is to build a relationship with a complete stranger, and help them to navigate this new lifestyle and process to use the bathroom.
A typical call with a patient, "I am having trouble understanding how to use PRODUCT X, can you help me?"
This role will require outbound calling for customers that have been enrolled to use Coloplast products by a clinician and or doctor. This is generally the very first day that the customer has ever used Company specific Continence products. It is usually a difficult time for these people/patients and the purpose of the call is to be proactive and consultative with the patient.
Expect 50+ calls outbound per day, there will be minimal inbound. Conversations are generally long and quality is most important for this team. Customers will generally be in touch for weeks or months through this learning process.
Phone-based role so the candidate needs to have a strong phone presence from the jump. Someone that is enthusiastic and has a strong personality.
