  About the Role:

  Provides an independent review and risk assessment of non-Homogeneous loans, including some of the bank's largest and most complex loans, ensuring adherence to Bank credit policies, underwriting guidelines, and applicable regulations, as well as determining that risk is accurately identified via the Bank's internal loan risk rating system. Periodically also responsible for managing reviews of loan portfolios; coordinating workflow for a team of review officers, summarizing results, and communicating issues of concern to bank senior management.

  Performs risk analyses to determine financial integrity and identifies potential credit problems.

  Examines and evaluates records pertaining to loan documentation and collateral, documenting exceptions and omissions.

  Monitors compliance with bank policies and is the final authority on assignment of credit quality loan grade (risk rating) based on the borrower’s ability to pay and the level of credit risk to the bank. Summarizes and documents the facts and findings of reviews.

  Reviews recommended loan grade changes for non-Homogeneous loans/commitments to ensure the appropriate Risk Ratings are assigned.

  Provides recommendations regarding review frequency and identification of additional potential credit problems.

  Plans and conducts loan portfolio reviews, coordinating workflow, ensuring accuracy and completeness of results, summarizing and communicating issues of concerns to bank senior management.

  Advises senior management and the Board of Directors on specific loan situations and brings problems or documentation deficiencies to their attention.

  Reviews various reports to monitor and ensure that specified borrowing relationships are reported appropriately.

  Demonstrate compliance with all bank regulations that apply to your position and keep up to date on regulation changes.

  Maintain working knowledge of our policies and procedures regarding the Bank Secrecy Act, Regulation CC, Regulation E, Bank Security, and other regulations that apply to your position.

  May be asked to coach, mentor, or train others and teach coursework as subject matter expert.

  About You:

  Bachelor's Degree in business, finance, economics, accounting, or equivalentpreferred

  Master's Degreepreferred

  4-7 yearsofexperience in the specialized field of Credit Review or equivalent experience as an examiner with one of the federal regulatory agenciesrequired

  CPAor comparable auditcertificationpreferred

  Requires wide-ranging and in-depth knowledge of Credit Review practices/techniques, regulatory requirements, and company policies and procedures.

  Requires significant experience demonstrating the ability to oversee and/or conduct medium to high-risk reviews and examinations for a wide variety of industries.

  Demonstrated ability to effectively resolve sensitive situations.

  Outstanding financial analytical, written and verbal communication skills.

  Proven ability to work as part of a high-performing team – ability to plan and organize, lead teams, multi-task, and manage complex projects.

  Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills; able to engage in tough conversations and deliver clear, meaningfulconclusions and recommendations.

  Intellectually curious; professional; confident; collaborative; strong moral compass.

  Ability to traveloccasionally

  Work Style:

  Umpqua Bank offers a Flexible Workplace Program and this opportunity comes with the Flex Office work style which is working in office from a designated company location three days weekly with flexibility to work remotely up to two days weekly.

  Our Benefits:

  We offer a competitive total rewards package including basewagesand comprehensive benefits. Thepayrange for this role is $64,947.00- $111,337.20, and the pay rate for theselected candidate isdependent upon a variety of non-discriminatory factors including, but not limited to, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience, education, and geographic location. The rolemay beeligible for performance-based incentive compensation and those details will be provided during the recruitment process.
