  Job Description

  The Associate General Counsel will play a pivotal role in overseeing the company's corporate and employment law functions. This individual will lead and manage a team of legal professionals, providing guidance, support, and expertise to ensure compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and industry standards. This position will require a strong foundation in corporate law, coupled with relevant expertise in employment law matters. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with various departments and senior leadership to mitigate legal risks and contribute to the company's overall success. The Associate General Counsel is a senior level legal position that collaborates with and advises the business, including senior leadership. Other responsibilities may include serving on executive committees, participating in global initiatives that impact the region, developing policies and procedures to control major risk areas, managing outside counsel engagements, and maintaining Olympus’ overall risk profile and ethical standards.

  Job Duties

  Corporate Law Responsibilities:

  Oversee and manage all corporate legal matters.

  Provide strategic legal advice on complex corporate issues, ensuring alignment with business objectives.

  Be responsible for advice and strategy with respect to corporate governance issues related to boards of directors, board committees as well as maintenance of corporate books and records, and annual corporate filings.

  Employment Law Responsibilities:

  Oversee the Company’s employment law support, providing guidance and expertise on matters related to employment contracts, policies, discrimination, harassment, employee relations, and workplace investigations.

  Ensure company-wide compliance.

  Handle employment-related litigation and collaborate with external counsel when necessary.

  Team Management:

  Supervise and mentor a team of legal professionals, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment.

  Provide leadership, guidance, and professional development opportunities to team members.

  Allocate resources effectively and manage workloads to ensure timely and accurate completion of projects.

  Legal Compliance and Risk Mitigation:

  Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure legal compliance across the organization.

  Identify and assess potential legal risks and provide proactive solutions to mitigate them.

  Support internal audits and investigations as needed.

  Collaboration and Communication:

  Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including senior management, to provide legal advice and support on various initiatives and projects.

  Communicate complex legal concepts effectively to non-legal stakeholders.

  Represent the company in legal negotiations, meetings, and other interactions with external parties.

  Job Qualification

  Required:

  J.D. Degree from an accredited law school.

  Licensed to practice law and eligible for in-house admission to Pennsylvania.

  Minimum of 8 years of experience practicing law, preferably with a focus on corporate and employment law oversight in highly regulated industries.

  Other Considerations (travel/hours availability, etc.): Limited travel may be required, not exceeding 10%

  Preferred:

  Sophisticated knowledge of corporate governance, employment law, contracts, and regulatory compliance.

  Exceptional analytical, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.

  Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.

  Ability to interact comfortably with senior leaders in the Company.
