Job Description Summary: Performs the physical or administrativetasks involved in the shipping, receiving, storing, distributing andorder fulfillment of merchandise, products, materials, parts, suppliesand equipment. Checks goods received and for distribution againstpurchase orders or invoices, maintains records of goods and rejectsunsatisfactory items. Packages and prepares products and merchandise forfinal shipment and posts weights and shipping charges. Lifts heavy itemsand may operate a forklift. Prepares and maintains records ofmerchandise shipped. Reviews customer orders, examines, stocks anddistributes merchandise, products and materials in inventory warehouses,distribution centers or manufacturing lines. Essential Duties andResponsibilities: Manages inter-company movements utilizing a companytruck. Maintains inventory and coordinates with key stakeholders toensure appropriate delivery times. Receives shipments into the companydatabase and forwards paperwork to accounting. Maintains receiving logsand paperwork files. Researches and resolves receiving problems with thecarrier and/or Buyer/Planners. Routes materials to IQA and otherlocations using Material Transfer forms and transactions. Maintainsstockroom, loading dock and oversize material stocking locations. Stocksand cycle counts materials on hand and reports on inventory accuracy.Assemble work order kits and issue materials to the production floor asneeded. Reviews inventory of excess and obsolete items, disposes itemsas needed. Prepares items and documents for outbound shipment.Coordinates carrier pickups and executes shipment documentation. Followssafety, health and quality requirements and performs other duties asassigned. Qualifications: a.
