POSITION SUMMARY
The Controller is responsible for overseeing all day-to-dayaccounting/finance activities of the US Electronic Learning ProductDivision. Position will further develop the team look for ways tostreamline operations of the accounting/finance department as well aswork well with colleagues overseas (Hong Kong).
The salary offered starts at \$200,000 based on the incumbent\'sbackground and experience relevant to the position\'s requirements andis competitive with market compensation relative to this role. ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBLITES
In partnership with the President and Group CFO, direct and manageVTech\'s financial strategy and outlook.
Oversee the Accounting close and Financial reporting of US operations,analyzing and reporting on financial performance and providing accurateand timely information to Hong Kong and Leadership Team.
Drive the monthly Forecast information as well as the monthly conferencecall presentation with Hong Kong; identify and communicate thehighlights and key changes.
Drive the preparation of the Annual Budget; identify and communicate thehighlights and key changes to Hong Kong and Leadership.
Oversee all internal and external audit activities for assignedentities.
Oversee the Accounting team and activities including but not limited toAccounts Receivable, Accounts Payable and Royalties.
Monitor established internal control and procedures to ensure fullcompliance.
Assess and analyze opportunities for business development andoperational efficiency; advise on financial impacts, outcomes, andrisks.
Collaborate through communication and teamwork with co-workers,management, clients and others in a courteous, and professional manner.
Decision making that results in appropriate outcome.
Work independently and collaboratively and manage time effectively tomeet changing deadlines and priorities.

POSITION SKILLS
Full knowledge of US Generally Accepted Accounting Principles andInternational Financial Reporting Standards.
Experience with Oracle/ERP is strongly desired.
Monthly Forecast, Annual Budget, Inventory, Financial Metrics/Statisticsand Pricing experience required.
Must meet deadlines, occasionally under tight timelines, whilemaintaining accuracy and producing quality output.
Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
Ability to maintain professional working relationships with co-workers(including colleagues in Hong Kong), management, subordinates andothers.

EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION
15+ years of progressively responsible experience in Accounting andFinance
7+ years of direct management experience in Accounting in aDistribution/Manufacturing, Consumer Product Goods industry
Bachelor\'s degree in Business, Finance, Accounting or a related field;or any combination of experience and education that provides thenecessary skills, knowledge and ability to perform essential functionsof this role.
Experience in a public accounting firm as well as business experience,preferably in a Distribution/Manufacturing, Consumer Product Goodsindustry preferred.
Must have CPA Certification.
Master\'s degree is desirable.
Ideal candidate has progressing manufacturing experience and/ordistribution in a subsidiary to the parent company with experienceworking with teams in Hong Kong or China.
