About the role:
Stantec has been successful in securing the Superintendent Services contract for the Aura and Harmony External Water Supply and Sewerage Infrastructure project and wants to engage a Contract Administrator to be part of the Superintendent team to work on site in the Sunshine Coast . This position is an approximately a 1 year full time or part time contract position for 4 to 5 days per week (28 to 40hr). Stantec aims to enter into a subcontract agreement with a proprietary limited company for this role or the successful candidate can be engaged by Stantec’s subcontractor providing the Superintendent for this position.
This is a contract position starting immediately with an anticipated contract end date between March to June 2025.
The position is primarily site-based position with an option to perform some of the works working from home. The temporary construction offices are located in Meridan Way, Meridan Plains, Sunshine Coast, QLD. Working hours are generally between 7AM and 5PM, Monday to Friday.
You will be joining a team which consists of a Superintendent, two Superintendent Representatives, two Quality Inspector, an Environmental Officer and a Project Administrator.
The duties of the Contract Administrator will include:
Draft and manage weekly and monthly Client reporting.
Review and report on Works Program accuracy and provide detail enabling an actuals program to be built.
Draft contractual letters / Teambinder mails.
Track documentation timelines ensuring Superintendent and Client comply with the contractual timelines.
Track and actively manage the General Condition Of Contract requirements.
Develop and update contract management plans.
Lead the assessment / management of claims.
Proactively identify and manage contract and project risks.
Support the team with contractual compliance.
Assist with financial forecasts.
Assist with processing of monthly contractor progress claim.
Manage the procurement of any subcontractors to Stantec.
About the Project:
Stantec’s client engaged a construction contractor for the delivery of the Aura and Harmony External Water Supply and Sewerage Infrastructure project.
This primarily greenfield site project has 3 distinctive portions which include:
The Harmony Water project will include building a new water reservoir at Tanawha and installing 2.6km of new water pipes from the reservoir to Harmony estate in Palmview.
The Aura Water Project includes construction of a new water reservoir and installation of 12km of new water pipeline from the Ewen Maddock Water Treatment Plant to Aura in Caloundra South.
The Aura Sewer Project will include installing a new sewage pump station and 14kms of new sewer pipe to transfer sewage to the Kawana Sewage Treatment Plant.
All portions of the works include open-cut as well as trenchless pipelaying methodology (HDD and microtunnelling).
The project commenced construction and currently has 10 construction locations.
To be successful for this role you'll bring:
Strong Contract Administration knowledge and experience.
Experience with construction works.
Experience with conditions of contract used in the Australian construction industry.
Knowledge of Australian contract law.
Adequate communications skills, both written and verbal.
Capability to assess priorities and work independently.
Knowledge of Microsoft Office, with the ability to learn new systems easily.
Knowledge of scheduling / programming of construction works.
Hold a current driver’s licence.
Own laptop, mobile phone.
Professional indemnity and public liability insurances if contracting directly to Stantec.
