The Continuous Improvement Leader is the driver across all departments of the organization on the journey for continuous process improvement. As the internal expert on LEAN principles, this position champions the implementation of LEAN methodologies and is accountable for training and developing LEAN techniques to increase employee engagement, while maintaining a culture of continuous improvement and waste elimination.
What you’ll do as a Continuous Improvement Leader :
Be the trusted LEAN Champion (Internal Expert) that every person can turn to for support, information and guidance, and who will not criticize their efforts at change.
Create LEAN roadmaps and drive cross-functional LEAN teams to breakthrough Best-in-Class performance in People, Quality, Material Flow, Information Flow and Cost
Assist in driving a LEAN Manufacturing philosophy throughout the site.
Provide training in LEAN tools and techniques to employees at all levels of the organization.
Facilitate Kaizen events to drive continuous improvement, including joint events with customers, and/or suppliers.
Develop and maintain metrics, scorecards and other indicators to assess the effectiveness of LEAN activities.
Report out on all LEAN activities in both informal and formal settings that includes all key metrics, improvements and opportunities for the future.
Collaborate with other team members to share and implement best practices and to assist in improvement activities.
Track and capture cost savings projects throughout the organization in order to reach yearly cost savings goal.
Assist in Data manipulation functions to help make informed decisions on inventory and operational strategy!
Support and improve local and global supply chain and operations team’s planning processes.
We’re looking for a Continuous Improvement Leader with:
Bachelor’s degree in engineering, manufacturing or related field
5 years in an operations role that required significant focus on process improvement and rapid problem-solving using Lean
Knowledge of manufacturing systems, high volume production, and packaging machinery capabilities
Lean certification required.
Hands on knowledge of data extraction from SAP
Kaizen Planning and Facilitation
8D/Problem Solving
Flow Concepts (Pull, Kanban, JIT, One Piece, Cell Design)
Set-up Time Reduction/SMED
Standard Work
Total Productive Maintenance
5S+Safety
Visual Management
Data Analysis and Statistical Problem Solving
Strong communication, analytical, presentation and time management skills.
Ability to work well with others and cooperate with team members and leadership team.

Physical requirements and working conditions:
Our manufacturing Plant is comprised of enclosed office and manufacturing space.
This position requires the ability to: Move throughout the entire facility to attend to various issues.
Work effectively in teams across functional groups with strong communication skills and the ability to lead.
Perform sedentary work on various computer systems.
This Continuous Improvement Leader position is located on-site in our East Longmeadow , MA facility.
