Construction Estimator
Description: This GC performs work on mostly local projects. Will do work for retail and restaurant throughout the state and sometimes out of state.
Utilize Sage software to estimate on commercial projects
Bidding projects
Calculate cost of construction projects
Negotiate with supplier
Perform on-screen takeoffs for quantity verification against subcontractor bids
Attend meetings with engineers, investors and other agencies involved in projects
Obtain, update and manage accurate pricing information from data base, contractors and suppliers to utilize cost estimates
Work with architects/engineers to develop clear project scope during preparation of estimates and develop relationships
Initially this person will be hired on as a Full-Time W-2 employee of Actalent where you would receive an hourly wage, holiday pay, Benefits (Health, Dental, Vision insurance), and 401k. After being an employee of Actalent for 9-months, this person will transition to the Construction firm as a direct employee.

4+ years of construction estimating experience on commercial projects.
Proficient using Sage software is a plus
