The Commercial Pricing Analyst will assist in conducting financial analysis and research to support the pricing strategies developed by the Manager, Pricing. This role will involve data management, analysis, and providing insights to contribute to the decision-making process.
Responsibilities:
Assist in Pricing Process:
Support the timely and accurate financial evaluation of pricing requests.
Aid in the execution of financial analysis for bid requests, contributing to pricing strategy recommendations.
Assist in evaluating margins for new opportunities to align with prescribed levels.
Data Analysis and Reporting:
Assist in maintaining and updating a competitor database to record bid-related data from past experiences.
Contribute to the development of financial reports and analysis, providing management with details on actualized margins versus planned.
Support the reporting on revenue experience, including identifying trends and concerns in strategic account gross margins.
Support Pricing Strategy Development:
Assist in developing and updating pricing models for new business opportunities under guidance from the Manager, Pricing.
Contribute to ensuring pricing and costing tools reflect the current operational environment by collecting and providing feedback.
Aid in the preparation of reports, visualizations, and dashboards to derive insights using data analytics techniques.
Process Support:
Assist in managing pricing procedures and contribute to continuous enhancement of business procedures for efficiency.
Participate in the development and maintenance of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for pricing processes.
Support the investigation of issues related to assigned projects and contribute to problem-solving.
Position Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or related field.
Some experience (1-2 years) in a finance-related role, preferably in pricing, analysis, or data management.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to work with and present data to various stakeholders.
Detail-oriented and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
