The role we are offering you:
Reporting to the Operations Lead of Indirect Global Strategic Sourcing, the Buyer will execute on key operational activities related to transactional purchasing and expediting across CAE’s global supplier network. Are you ready to:
Efficiently issue, modify, and cancel purchase orders in alignment with company turnaround time, due diligence checks and other SLAs.
Receive and follow-up with suppliers on order acknowledgments/confirmations.
On-time delivery monitoring and purchase order expediting when necessary.
Perform single source requests for quote (RFQs) or information (RFIs).
Interface with stakeholders and suppliers effectively.
Support return to supplier requests.
Create and maintain supplier master data across various systems.
Understand the purchase request (PR) to purchase order (PO) processes and guide suppliers and stakeholders alike whilst enforcing CAE purchasing policies.
Coordinate the resolution of operational issues, such as simple invoice reconciliations.
Support ad hoc requests from leadership team.
Our ideal candidate has:
College diploma (or equivalent) with a preference for commerce specialization.
Proficiency in Microsoft Suite products, including but not limited to Teams, Word, PowerPoint & Excel.
English and French required.
Results oriented with a critical eye for detail.
Strong time management and personal organizational skills.
