We are looking for a dynamic, self-starting Business Manager to grow the Air Cargo business and help integrate it as a key offering within Amazon’s supply chain services. In this role, you will be responsible to identify, design, develop, and execute new processes, policies, goals and solutions that support scaling of the Air Cargo business. To do this you will work across operations, procurement, research science, technology, scheduling, sales, engineering, and finance teams. This position requires a person with the ability to skillfully communicate with internal stakeholders, use analytics to solve complex problems, and stay hyper focused on the customers’ needs. The role provides an opportunity to shape our start-up like culture and make long term customer focused and cost effective decisions, directly impacting Amazon’s supply chain services.

Key job responsibilities
Owning the long and short-term business plans for Air Cargo. Leading the forward-looking business planning activities to drive growth of the Air Cargo business, including all operational, financial, CAPEX, and headcount requirements. Partnering across the organization, including air and ground operations, finance, research, technology, engineering and global real estate, to effectively coordinate expansion of the air cargo network at Amazon.
Effectively managing the business through metrics. Collaborating with Air Cargo program, product, and sales leaders to track and report all key performance indicators against annual, quarterly, monthly and weekly goals. Owning all management dashboards, regional reports and executive review documents on quarterly, monthly, weekly basis.
Headcount Planning - Supporting headcount planning, allocation, and requisition management throughout fiscal year.
Owning the full lifecycle of business plans, from strategy to day-to-day management.
Communicating goals, roles, responsibilities and desired outcomes to cross-functional project teams to gain buy-in and delivery to project schedules
Addressing barriers through problem solving, communication and active coordination with stakeholders

Basic Qualifications
Bachelor's degree
5+ years of program or project management experience
Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements
Experience owning program strategy, end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership
5+ years of experience in the areas of finance, business management and/or sales operations in mid-to-large scale global sales organization
Preferred Qualifications
Master's degree, or MBA in management, business administration, economics, engineering, marketing
2+ years of driving process improvements experience
2+ years of profit & loss management experience
Experience working in a matrixed organization

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $92,500/year in our lowest geographic market up to $185,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
