The Firm is looking for a Business Development Analyst for our Life Science practice group to provide essential tactical support to the fast-paced Business Development team that drives business development and marketing for the firm's Corporate Life Sciences group. The position reports to the Corporate Life Sciences Business Development Manager.
Responsibilities:
Support and drive marketing and business development initiatives across the Corporate Life Sciences group as well as the firmwide Life Sciences groupPrepare compelling marketing and business development collateral, including basic and highly tailored pitch materials Conduct in-depth research on markets, technologies, companies, and individuals for Corporate Life Sciences attorneysSupport the Business Development team's pitch tracking and reporting activities Help track and maintain key attorney matters for the experience databaseParticipate in the successful production and execution of client events, speaking engagements, and sponsorships, including analyzing attendee lists, preparing tailored materials, supporting attorney follow-up, and tracking outcomes and activities in the CRM systemCollaborate with the firmwide Life Sciences Industry Group leadership to support and drive practice and technology innovation initiatives
Qualifications:
Minimum of three years of experience in a law firm business development function supporting corporate practice groups. Experience directly supporting corporate life sciences initiatives a big plus.Exceptional online search skills and a deep curiosity about technology and life sciencesStrong customer service ethicExemplary communication skills, both verbal and written Extremely detail-oriented, with superior proofreading and fact checking skills Efficient, highly organized and able to stay productive under pressure with tight deadlines Proficient in the use of PowerPoint, Word, Excel, and database applicationsAptitude for learning new software, systems and procedures quickly Able to work independently and in team environmentsSelf-motivated and positive attitudeBachelor's degree Proficient in MS Office
The primary location for this job posting is in Palo Alto, but other locations are also listed. The actual base pay offered will depend upon a variety of factors, including but not limited to the selected candidate's qualifications, years of relevant experience, level of education, professional certifications and licenses, and work location. The anticipated pay range for this position is as follows:
San Francisco and Silicon Valley: $76,500 - $103,500 per year
Austin, Boston, Boulder, District of Columbia, Los Angeles, New York, San Diego, Seattle, and Wilmington: $68,850 - $93,150 per year
Salt Lake City and all other locations: $61,200 - $82,800 per year
The compensation for this position may include a discretionary year-end merit bonus based on performance. We offer a highly competitive salary and benefits package.
