  General Purpose of Job

  This position will perform and deliver on routine assignments and projects for their assigned area(s) of Accounting responsibility. They will prepare, record, analyze and report basic accounting transactions and ensure the integrity of accounting records for completeness, accuracy and compliance with accepted accounting policies and principles.

  What you'll be doing

  • Prepares, records, analyzes and reports on assigned general ledger and basic accounting transactions in accordance with accounting principles so that the General Ledger is accurate and up-to-date.

  • Provides basic financial support to accounting team members in the preparation of accurate and timely financial reports and accounting statements for his/her assigned area(s) of responsibility.

  • Determines basic classifications and records financial transactions applying accounting technique, standard practices and accepted accounting policies and principles.

  • Collects, compiles and evaluates basic financial information utilized to prepare accurate and timely financial reports and accounting statements for management.

  • Escalates and communicates to management on accounting issues/concerns.

  • Identifies, researches and resolves discrepancies or out of balance situations amongst assigned General Ledger Accounts.

  • Conducts quality assurance checks on his/her journal entries and posts to General Ledger Accounts.

  • Ensures the integrity of accounting records for completeness, accuracy and compliance with accepted accounting principles.

  • Ensures the integrity of basic accounting records for completeness, accuracy and compliance with accepted accounting policies and principles, and compliance with internal controls and SOX.

  What we’re looking for

  4 Year/Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience (4 years of experience in lieu of Bachelor's) (Minimum Required)

  0 - 1+ Years experience in Accounting that directly aligns with the specific responsibilities for this position (Required)

  Experience with reconciling, analyzing, and researching suspense accounts

  Running Business Objects reports, Excel Spreadsheets with pivot tables, v-lookups and macros and back end systems to complete all necessary research.

  Ability to communicate with many different business areas in order to clear outstanding suspense items- explaining research completed and steps that were missed or done incorrectly for the transaction. Remains current in profession and industry trends.

  Makes a positive contribution as demonstrated by: - Making suggestions for improvement - Learning new skills, procedures and processes

  Performs other duties as required.

  Pay Range: $42,300 - $75,500

  Actual base pay could vary based on non-discriminatory factors including but not limited to work experience, education, location, licensure requirements, proficiency and qualifications required for the role. The base pay is just one component of Lincoln’s total rewards package for employees. In addition, the role may be eligible for the Annual Incentive Program, which is discretionary and based on the performance of the company, business unit and individual. Other rewards may include long-term incentives, sales incentives and Lincoln’s standard benefits package.
