Throughout this period, you will have the opportunity to work closely with either an experienced air quality specialist or the air quality district supervisor. The trainee's work, which includes the preparation of memos, reports, letters, and other relevant documents, will be thoroughly reviewed by the supervisor before being finalized and released. This ensures that you receive valuable feedback and guidance to enhance your performance and maintain the highest standards of quality in your work.
The primary responsibilities of this role involve carrying out inspections, investigating complaints, and creating emission inventories (AIMS) within a specific geographical area. These tasks are crucial in order to assess compliance with relevant regulations and effectively enforce the Clean Air Act. This position works under the guidance of the Air Quality District Supervisor (AQDS) and is responsible for addressing any existing or potential air pollution issues in assigned facilities. You will ensure that all problems are thoroughly reviewed, managed, and resolved in accordance with the Bureau's air pollution control program and the Department's Rules and Regulations. Additionally, you are responsible for collecting and inputting emission inventory data into the AIMS system for the facilities they are assigned to.
