Des Moines Public Schools is seeking an After School Program Manager for Metro Kids!Job Summary:Responsible for the planning and management of Before and After School programs including Metro Kids and 21st Century Community Learning Centers. Directs the work of Metro Enrichment Leaders and 21st Century Leaders. Provides leadership and oversight of the daily operations of the Metro Kids Care Program and 21CCLC including scheduling, training, and evaluation of staff. Provides support to leaders related to employee issues. Ensures that budgets are being appropriately managed at the district and site level.Successful candidates for this position will possess:Bachelor’s Degree in a related field (education, health, public administration, human services)Experience coordinating federal grant programs and/or understanding of grant managementDemonstrated leadership skills in program design, management, and evaluationHighly Qualified candidates for this position will possess:Master’s Degree in education or related field such as professional/adult learningExperience in counseling, coaching, or mentoringBilingualPlease see attached job description for further information on functions of the position along with educational and experience requirements.Position Details:SPECFull TimeExempt260 days (Year round)Salary Range for this position:$79,373-$96,034This represents the minimum to mid-point of the salary range.
