Position Announcement
Utah Valley University is seeking creative, dynamic, and experienced professionals to join our growing Digital Cinema Production program as part-time adjunct faculty. We are looking for industry practitioners who are passionate about sharing their expertise and mentoring the next generation of filmmakers. Instructors will teach courses in areas such as film production, directing, post-production (including VFX), film foundations analysis, and writing.
Summary of Responsibilities
• Plan, prepare, and teach courses with measurable objectives aligned with the course syllabus.
• Maintain a student-oriented educational environment in both classroom and production settings.
• Maintain necessary instructional materials, including course outlines, syllabi, and examinations.
• Instruct, manage and supervise students in both individual and group settings.
• Provide mentorship and guidance to students, fostering their growth and development in cinema. Evaluate student performance and provide constructive feedback.
• Support and collaborate effectively with colleagues and contribute to a positive academic environment.
Qualifications / Licenses / Certifications
• Bachelor's degree in Film, Media Arts, or a related field; MFA or PhD preferred.
• Minimum of two-five years of professional experience in the film industry, with a proven track record of producing work in film, television, and festivals.
• Strong portfolio showcasing professional achievements in relevant areas of cinema.

• Ability to follow written and oral procedures and instructions accurately.
