Description To be successful at this Accountant position, you should be someone who creates spreadsheets in your sleep, be looking to find your place in the accounting field. Robert Half is hiring candidates for an exciting entry-level Accountant opportunity, with a highly successful organization in the Drink & Beverages industry. Candidates for this position should be comfortable with reviewing financial statements with a heavy data entry component. If you're an Excel enthusiast, you might be a good fit for this entry-level position. We're looking for people who are interested in spreadsheet creation and manipulation. This is a short-term contract / temporary entry-level Accountant role based in New York, New York.

　　Key responsibilities

　　Executing other related duties and partaking in special projects as assigned

　　Assisting with full cycle Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable processes

　　Assisting with audit fieldwork for both financial and operational audits

　　Input data

　　Investigating and correcting account discrepancies

　　Reconcile and balance general ledger accounts

　　Prepare journal entries monthly Requirements - Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Excel (PivotTables, vlookups) is preferred

　　Employer requires 1 year of accounting experience

　　Desire to thrive in scenarios of team-based work or independent tasks, always looking to learn more and take initiative on a number of different projects and tasks

　　Outstanding data entry skills

　　Customer invoices experience desired

　　Practical knowledge of Submit Expense Reports

　　Code Invoices experience preferred

　　Strong familiarity with Coding Invoices

　　Proven knowledge of Coding

　　Microsoft Excel experience highly desired

　　General familiarity with Travel Expense

　　Well-founded grasp of expense reports

　　Foundational knowledge in Data Extraction

　　Excellent attention to detail

　　An AA or BS/BA Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business suggested

　　Sound written and verbal communication skills
