Robert Half is partnering with a rapidly growing benefits organization that specialize in modern benefits solutions and self funded insurance programs. As an Account Executive you will ensure delivery of exceptional service to clients by actively managing client accounts. You will manage increasingly complex accounts with a strong focus on self-funded business, collaborate with internal team members and external carriers and partners, and utilize resources and tools to create effective client deliverables. As an Employee Benefits Account Executive, you will be responsible for management, oversight, and ongoing administration of assigned client accounts, carriers, and vendors. This position coordinates with the client, Lead Consultants, colleagues as well as carriers and vendors to facilitate the Client Life Cycle on an annual basis.
The Account Executive must be knowledgeable in group benefits and its vernacular, have strong verbal and written communication skills, be able to problem solve complex client issues, effectively manage projects within specific timeframes, display initiative and resourcefulness to complete tasks with resources provided, be highly motivated, and work well in a team setting as well as independently. The Account Executive position is a highly collaborative role with clients and third-parties that require some travel and face-to-face meetings. Three days in the office, flexible on which days you want to come in—the possibility of going fully remote after onboarding and learning the role.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Manage a designated book of business and the client service lifecycle of strategy, compliance, marketing, claims, and administration
Assists Consultants in the sales process to obtain new clients
Responds to Client’s inquiries and maintains documentation of Client communications, existing issues, and issue resolutions
Supports implementation or transition of new/existing lines of coverage by setting up account, collecting documentation, and reviewing plan details with Client and Vendor
Attend client or prospect meetings and assume responsibility for presenting service plans, new and renewal placement timelines, and market expectations
Manage client renewals. Negotiate terms and conditions with carriers on behalf of clients.
Primary contact between clients and insurance carriers. Provide best-in-class service to retain clients
Gathers and compiles employee benefits information from the Client for carriers and vendors.
Review client claims information to identify and track high cost claimants
Populate financial spreadsheet templates to be delivered to clients & carriers.
Requests and collects quotes (new and renewal) from carriers as instructed
Creates client facing collateral and presentation materials for Client presentations and meetings
Provides benefits administration support to Client’s Human Resources team
Analyzes quotes from carriers to determine appropriate recommendations for Client
Assist the marketing process by:
Coordinating market and program direction from Team Lead and pre-screen risk with underwriters.
Preparing narrative including market expectations
Prior to sending to market, reviewing submission for quality and completeness
Reviewing quotations for accuracy
Enhance proposals by including:
Premium and exposure summary
Requirements
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education:
Bachelor’s degree preferred
Must hold Life & Health insurance license
Proactive participation in continuing education classes
Work Experience:
5+ years of Employee Benefits experience required
5+ years of Employee Benefits Account Executive experience preferred
