Your Role and Responsibilities
The product manager, of XaaS workloads and solutions offerings management will play critical role in driving the growth of the IBM Systems XaaS business. The offering leader in this position will partner with offerings leaders across Storage, Z-Systems, Power, TLS, competitive intelligence team, corporate strategy, cloud team, GTM including sales, partners to establish and execute the IBM as a service workloads and solutions roadmap enabling IBM to win in new as a service segment.
Responsibilities:
In this role, you will own product management activities in developing and delivering the XaaS workloads and solutions roadmaps in conjunction with other product leaders across IBM.
You will be responsible for driving the execution of the roadmap for key investment areas towards building the right solution for market lead portfolio per function.
You will be responsible for grooming the backlog with the right set of capabilities for the identified products/solutions (defining strategic requirements, detailed requirement, design features, prioritization of backlog, etc).
The team will consist of technical product managers, product owners focused on XaaS workloads, and solutions.
Required Technical and Professional Expertise
15+ years of experience in Software Industry
Understand the market/client needs to develop roadmap for delivering differentiated capabilities. Co-create with clients the product roadmap.
Collaborate with key stakeholders (engineering, marketing, GTM) on the product roadmap from conception to delivery to the market. Work with the program management leads to execute and deliver on launches.
Work in close cooperation with the Product Management Executive team, other executives, peers and cross-functional colleagues to meet product and business objectives.
Collaborate with the product designers and engineering team on grooming the backlog with a set of new features and capabilities. Define and prioritize features based on strategic objectives.
Drive the sprint planning by working with the design and engineering teams on clear understanding of features and deliver on it.
Work closely across teams on the delivery of new releases to the market on timely manner based on roadmap.
Be engaged on sponsor user validation program to co-create optimal client experience by establishing a continuous feedback loop with our clients.
5+ years upline management experience in SW development and/or product (offering) management.
Experience with Agile Development and Design Thinking.
Strong written and oral communication skills.
Experience speaking with and presenting to customers, both pre- and post-sales.
Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise
At least two previous upline and/or EA roles
MBA or advanced degree in computer science or Engineering
Experience in XaaS 'Everything as a service' model
Foundational knowledge of cloud computing and cloud services.
Foundational knowledge of data storage and data protection.
Foundational knowledge of Power Systems
Foundational knowledge of Zsystems
