　　Your New Role...

　　The Writer, Updates, will help keep the CNN Underscored library of evergreen product review and recommendation content up-to-date and optimized for quality, conversion and search engine ranking. The position will report directly to the Section Editor, Editorial Operations, and work closely with editors across Lifestyle, Electronics, Travel and Gift Guides, and the Sr. Manager of SEO. Interested candidates should have a strong interest in shopping content and service journalism, though previous experience writing commerce or product reviews is not required.

　　The right candidate can quickly adapt to the CNN Underscored voice and audience but is also encouraged to help develop new creative angles on consumer product and service coverage. The position is primarily tasked with updates, though there will also be opportunity to create and contribute to new, original content.

　　Your Role Accountabilities...

　　Fact-check and update evergreen guides, reviews and gift guides as assigned by the Underscored Section Editors and Sr. Manager of SEOEmploy SEO best practices in published content while remaining mindful of editorial quality and reader valueAssist with real-time updates during sales events (Prime Day, Black Friday, holiday weekends)Stay up-to-date on seasonality, consumer trends and SEO criteria to ensure content is relevant for readers and search engines

　　Qualifications & Experience...

　　College degree in journalism or a related field preferred1-3 years of editorial experience at a major publisher, ideally in a product-review and/or commerce capacityBasic understanding of SEO best practices and content optimization tacticsPassion for product research and testing a strong plusFlawless grammar & spellingStrong creative and writing skillsMust be detail-oriented, organized and have strong communication skills

　　In compliance with local law, we are disclosing the compensation, or a range thereof, for roles in locations where legally required. Actual salaries will vary based on several factors, including but not limited to external market data, internal equity, location, skill set, experience, and/or performance. Base pay is just one component of Warner Bros. Discovery's total compensation package for employees. Pay Range: $77,840.00 - $144,560.00 salary per year. Other rewards may include annual bonuses, short- and long-term incentives, and program-specific awards. In addition, Warner Bros. Discovery provides a variety of benefits to employees, including health insurance coverage, an employee wellness program, life and disability insurance, a retirement savings plan, paid holidays and sick time and vacation.
