Job Duties:
The Wound/Ostomy/Continence Nurse provides acute and rehabilitative care for patients with selected disorders of the gastrointestinal, genitourinary and integumentary systems. He/she provides direct care to patient with abdominal stomas, wounds, fistulas, drains, pressure sores and incontinence problems. He/she functions as a consultant/educator developing patient and staff educational programs and materials. He/she utilizes performance improvement processes to achieve quality outcomes.
Requirements;
Bachelor's degree in nursing.
Registered Nurse with current PA license.
Wound Care certification required.
Strong organizational skills
Ability to communicate clearly in English, both orally and in writing.
Strong interpersonal skills
Computer literate, proficient in MS Office (i.e. word, spread sheets.)
Ability to participate in evidence-based research practice.
3 years of clinical Wound/Ostomy experience required
