The Department of Economic Security, Division of Aging and AdultServices, seeks an analytical, collaborative, highly motivatedindividual to join our team as a Workforce Specialist with the ArizonaRefugee Resettlement Program. Under supervision, the positionadministers and provides oversight for refugee employment and workforcedevelopment services and undertakes a broad range of functions andresponsibilities: researches, develops, coordinates, facilitates, andmaintains workforce development programs to assist refugees and otherORR-eligible beneficiaries. This position also fulfills other assignedduties; and provides technical assistance.
Using strong interpersonal communication skills, this position meetswith and presents to a broad range of community stakeholders on programtopics. Assists with developing work products, including proposals,public presentations, status reports, scopes of work, and deliveringthese products to management for review. Researches and identifiesproblems and challenges that refugees and other eligible beneficiariesexperience when pursuing employment opportunities, and recommendspromising practices and innovative solutions to these barriers. Withguidance, interprets and applies federal and state regulations andpolicies governing programs related to the program area. Coordinatesinternal and external resources. Consults with appropriate personnelregarding program objectives and accountabilities. Analyzes and respondsappropriately to quickly moving and time-sensitive issues. Develops andmaintains tools to collect and analyze data about program performance.Writes a variety of technical and administrative federal and statereports.
In-state and out-of-state travel is required.
