The Workforce Management Analyst is responsible for conducting in-depth research and analysis, setting productivity benchmarks based on industry acceptable standards, assessing technology and process solutions that drive quality and efficiency, and working with Medical Management operations leaders to ensure best practices to drive maximum performance and efficiency of the business processes and systems. The analyst will act as a liaison between product teams and operations, anticipate trends and emerging issues, and document performance measurements and process changes. A Day In The Life: Conducts in-depth research and analysis of complex data and information, including staying current on industry standards operational benchmarks. Anticipates trends, emerging issues and recommends best practices to ensure maximum results and develops metrics. Works with operational leadership to set benchmarks. Works with operational leadership to develop dashboards to track operations performance. Recommends best practices to ensure efficient and high-quality performance and collaborates with operations leadership to make changes when needed. Documents performance measurements and process changes. Acts as a liaison between product teams and operations teams to ensure operational performance supports product strategy and roadmap. Expert working knowledge of analysis, design, development, testing, debugging, implementation, maintenance and/or enhancement of new or existing systems through reporting and documentation. Recognized expert within the function, the division, and the organization. Complete assigned duties according to established schedule. Keep updated documentation and provide training to team resources. Ensures operational leadership has appropriate data/dashboards to monitor inventory, aging, and production performance trends daily, weekly and/or monthly. Seek customer feedback to identify business needs to ensure the correct data is accurate and available for business decision making. Identify data integrity issues to resolve issues and automate the availability of data. Identifies and recommends opportunities for efficiencies based on reports, dashboards and analysis. Acts as a resource to leadership for questions relating to reporting, scheduling, and management tools to optimize staff utilization. Partner with operational leaders to identify key business inputs that impact: staffing and volume forecasts, capacity planning, and needed changes to performance measurements. Mentor team members on tactical best practices. Considers opportunities to drive process automation to drive top of licensure work and improve efficiency by facilitating partnership between business and technical resources. Partner with technical resources to discuss possible solutions. Perform assigned duties for business requirements and create models of reports. This may include the automation of data extraction, report generation and calculations. Nice to Have: Bachelor's degree in business related field, such as business administration, mathematics, finance, accounting or statistics. Strong understanding of health care industry and/or BCBSMN operational areas. Self-directed, ability to manage time and handle multiple assignments concurrently. Background in performance management Ability to validate, analyze and organize data, including skills in excel. Experience with workforce management tools Strong written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills, including facilitating, resolving issues and understanding customer needs. Required Skills and Experiences: 3+ years of related professional experience. All relevant experience including work education, transferable skills, and military experience will be considered. Demonstrated ability to utilize data in decision making, identify process improvements and follow through on implementation. Must be able to complete assignments in the designated time frame by demonstrating ownership and accountability for their work. Ability to build trusting relationships with leadership and lead through influence. Demonstrated ability to build strong relationships with technical and business resources.
