VCA Urgent Care bridges the gap between Primary and Emergency Care by utilizing 24/7 teletriage, transparent wait times, smart virtual waiting room that allows clients to wait at home until it’s time to be seen, purposeful design, and robust staffing models to provide pets with access to same- and next-day non-emergent care. care

  As a Market Leader, you will be responsible for leading a team of 4-6 urgent care animal hospitals across different U.S. markets. You will direct the implementation of a new and innovative veterinary experience. To be successful in this role you will need to embrace the vision, adopt new ways of working, bring a positive attitude, and commit to the execution of the urgent care model.

  This position requires regular hospital visits and highly effective and engaging communication skills. This position will require strong people management and change management skills.

  What You’ll Do

  Open and Operate 4-6 de novo urgent care hospitals

  Build a positive culture that celebrates increasing access to care

  Training of the opening team

  Recruit DVMs in partnership with Talent Acquisition

  Lead hospital teams to effectively execute the VCA Urgent Care operating model

  Direct hospital implementation of new processes, tools, and techniques

  Deliver exceptional client and Associate experiences

  Manage the P&L for portfolio of urgent care hospitals delivering on performance goals

  Manage all direct and indirect reports including performance and compensation

  Qualifications

  Bachelor’s degree, with 5+ years in hospital management in the veterinary, healthcare or related industry

  Proven leader with a positive attitude that can inspire and motivate Associates

  Demonstrated experience driving change management

  Action oriented, independent, self-starter comfortable working in a fast-paced environment

  Proven ability to manage multiple and time-sensitive priorities simultaneously with minimum guidance and high attention to detail

  Excellent written/verbal communication skills

  Strong problem solving and project management skills

  Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint

  Ability to be in hospitals 75% of time across the designated U.S. markets

  Position Location

  This is a remote position; however, the ideal candidate will be based in San Diego or Phoenix. R egular travel will be required.

  Additional Information

  Compensation is negotiable based on education, experience, and other relevant credentials. The US base salary range for this full-time position is $90,000-$105,000. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for your preferred location during the hiring process.
