The WC/Leave Administrator is responsible for overseeing and optimizing the process for leaves of absence (LOA's) and Worker's Compensation (WC) cases. This role is tasked with driving operational excellence and process improvements while maintaining compliance with federal and state employment laws (ADAAA, FMLA, etc.) to insure timely return to work and cost containment. Interpret and enforce company policies and provide coaching to management as required for Compliance with various State and Federal regulations.
Monitor State and Federal regulatory changes for strategic opportunities to enhance ATSG's worker comp and leave management processes (i.e. early RTW program, telemedicine network for WC, virtual AED training, etc.). Provide training, consultation, and oversight of policy and procedures related to subsidiary worker comp, ADAM & leave of absence (FMLA and state mandated) management activity, as well as monitor results. Such activity includes, but is not limited to, review/approval ofclaim allowance recommendations, medical case management ( diagnostics, work restrictions, etc.), rehabilitation and return to work strategy, support of financial settlement (mediations, hearings), fraud management, reserve establishment, reconciliation of vendor invoices for proper payment, and related SOX control management.
Partners with leadership to develop policies and procedures related to administration of worker comp, ADAAA, leaves of absence (FMLA and state mandated) for ATG/ATS/CAM/AGS entities
Administer ATSG's Ohio self-insured worker comp program and select and manage vendors in support of that program. Monitor the activity of third-party vendors providing worker comp management support outside of Ohio
Partner with safety departments regarding accident reporting, prevention strategy, onsite response support such as first aide, CPR training & currency, AED and oxygen maintenance, and OSHA reporting requirements. Partner with legal and finance regarding risk management

REQUIRED JOB SKILLS:
HS diploma
Worker comp administration experience including policy & strategy development, medical case management, self-insured program administration, reserve management, third party administrator management, legal proceeding support.
Ability to apply for annual Ohio self-insured certification (" ... knowledgeable and capable of administering an efficient worker's compensation program including, but not limited to: allowance/disallowance of claims; payment of compensation and benefits; maintaining claim files; provision of appropriate information to claimants or their representatives; assisting employees in filing their applications for benefits; and completing necessary forms to process claims ... "
Basic accounting and mathematical skills to apply to practical situations. Ability to analyze data/statistics, draw reasonable conclusions and compile accurate reports
Ability to read, analyze and interpret regulations and other documents
Verbal, written, presentation, problem solving, business acumen and interpersonal skills necessary to effectively communicate, update, persuade &/or facilitate discussions with all levels of employees, management, customers, legal forums, and vendors
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
Strong project management, prioritization, and case management skills.
Self-motivated; able to work independently or as a part of a team; able to handle sensitive employee information with a high level of discretion and confidentiality
Proficient in Microsoft products (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Teams, SharePoint
Human Capital Management software such as UKG, Ceridian, SAP, etc. must be able to learn new applications quickly
Standard office equipment (laptop, telephone, cop /scan/fax)
25% travel related to vendor management, site visits, legal proceedings
Familiar with Ohio workers comp regulations, ADAAA, FMLA and other state and federal regulations related to workers compensation and leave administration
PREFERRED JOB SKILLS:
Associate or Bachelor's degree
Multistate organization experience
Supervisory experience
Pay Details: $70,000.00 to $80,000.00 per year
