The Workers Comp Assistant provides support and assists the Workers Compensation Team.
Summary of Essential Duties:
Report and update workers' compensation leaves in HR Leave and Disability Management Department system
Scan and make copies of correspondence or other printed materials
High-volume data entry
Serve as back up to other Workers' Comp Assistant and Modified Duty Coordinator.
Report new workers' compensation claims to the Third Party Administrator via internal data base as needed.
Provide information to internal/externals clients or customers.
Responsible for confidential and time sensitive material.
Coordinate and maintain paperless file system by scanning and indexing documents to electronic files and maintaining internal database up to date.
Assist with answering and directing phone calls and route inquiries to other departments in the organization as appropriate and/or needed.
Distribute and disseminate information within the department as needed.
Perform other related duties as assigned or required by the Supervisor and/or Manager.
Assist Risk Management team as needed or required by the Supervisor, Manager and/or Vice President.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite

Qualifications
Education:
High School Diploma/GED, (Minimum)Work Experience:
1 year Workers Compensation experience preferred
