  DESCRIPTION OF WORK

  Members of this team are challenged daily by integrating the training demands with truly sustainable ecosystem management practices on the ground. You will work with a multitude of animals and plants found on the property. This is rewarding and fast paced wildlife management work with a focus on aquatic invertebrate species. Candidates in this position require a high level of personal initiative, ability to follow directions, and work independently, as well as in a crew, within general guidelines. A key attribute is the ability to work safely, following strict safety procedures and protocols pertaining to the live-fire training aspect of the facility. Candidates will have the chance to hike in steep, hazardous terrain, and work in inclement weather. There will be the opportunity to travel and work some night and weekend hours. Candidates must have or be willing to obtain Rabies pre-exposure inoculation at or before the start of employment.

  Work Schedule and Additional Information:

  Full-time employment, 37.5 hours per week

  Work hours are 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with 30-minute lunch.

  Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time, 5 days a pay period in the office. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Annville.

  Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

  QUALIFICATIONS

  Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

  Graduation from an Associate Degree Program in Wildlife Management;or

  Any combination of experience or training which provides the required knowledges, skills, and abilities.

  Applicants will be considered to have met the educational requirements once they are within 3 months of graduating with a qualifying degree.

  Necessary Special Requirements:

  Possession of a valid Pennsylvania motor vehicle operator's license.
