You will help our team to work together to prepare winningproposals and deliver proper scoping of services, and pricing to beprofitable. As an experienced professional, you will have theopportunity to contribute and mentor staff during daily operations of agrowing team including safety, project management, quality of servicesand work product, timely delivery of services and deliverables, andoverall quality and client experience. Roles and ResponsibilitiesConduct client development activities and work with our team to developa book of business in environmental planning services in the greaterChicagoland area and the region, including Wisconsin and Illinois.Prepare proposals, including scope of work and fee, for existing and newclients and deliver work products and consulting solutions for clientson time and in budget. Employ best practices for risk management andloss prevention. Be familiar with company risk policies. Lead safetyefforts for the project team and ensure team follows safety rules andpractices. Possess strong understanding of federal, state, and localregulatory requirements. Possess skills to become Subject Matter Expert(SME) in one of more environmental/technical areas (e.g., Section 10/404permitting, protected terrestrial, avian, or bat species, withcorresponding Section 10(a) permits, as applicable etc.). Understand andimplement technical requirements to complete client projects bydirecting and supervising field staff to sample, test and collect dataand/or document site activities. Perform site visits, field observationsand field data collection in area of technical expertise.Responsibilities may also include, but are not limited to, preparingpermit applications, mitigation plans and designs, participation inenvironmental assessments, identifying new opportunities forprofessional services, and writing technical reports.
