As part of the Wholesale Payments Product organization, this critical role will provide leadership and execution for pricing strategy, governance, and technology across Wholesale Payments and aligned LOB’s. Product scope includes Deposits, Payments, and Merchant services. This role will advise cross-functional leadership on optimizing relationship profitability and pricing practices, leveraging technology and data to drive business decisions, revenue growth and profitability improvement. This role will also serve as a primary business owner of our strategic pricing tool.

Lead strategy for Wholesale Payments pricing solutions (includes treasury service pricing and deposit rates), serving Wholesale while balancing corporate strategy, client profitability, and the constant industry and market changes.
Translate complex financial concepts and methodologies into pricing tools to support implementation of pricing strategies for client-facing teammates, driving tangible results tracked through KPIs.
Partner with line of business leadership to ensure business needs are met to create clear, understandable insights which solve emerging business needs on a short, medium, and long-term basis.
Leverage data insights to recommend operational profitability and pricing strategy improvements for lines of business to drive revenue and improve client profitability.
Design enhancements within the pricing solution to create a holistic view of client profitability.
Develop and mentor junior teammates by taking an active role in training, hiring, and advancement.
Partner closely with line of business leadership to refine pricing configurations and methodology changes, assisting with business validation thereof, and providing 2nd line support for lines of business for operational needs for pricing tech platforms.
Provide consultative pricing optimization guidance to stakeholders.
Lead recurring annual pricing optimization event by coordinating closely with stakeholders to ensure Truist pricing and profitability remains consistent with industry trends.
Required Qualifications:

7 or more years of experience at a leading financial institution in Finance/Corporate Treasury, Wholesale Payments, Treasury Management, Commercial or Investment Banking, Strategy, or some combination thereof, including a role with direct Wholesale or Commercial pricing responsibility
Proficiency in theoretical and practical accounting and finance concepts and techniques (cash flow models, ROE, economic capital, funds transfer pricing, etc.)
Ability to influence across a broad spectrum of partners and complexities, including senior leadership.
Proven professionalism and credibility in the banking industry.
Strong strategic and tactical critical thinking skills: ability to synthesize complex information to communicate effectively with teammates at all levels. Ability to translate ambiguous concepts into concrete analytical and reporting deliverables with broad applications.
Experience implementing major strategic initiatives by articulating a vision, presenting facts, and integrating change management capabilities and practices that enable the organization to achieve its objectives.
Ability to synthesize forward-looking trends and implications, creatively solve problems and approach situations with a fresh and well thought out perspective
Sound leadership and communication skills: provide direction, lead courageously, influence others and foster teamwork, motivate, coach and develop others while championing change
Strong interpersonal skills and an ability to build relationships, display organizational savvy, leverage networks, and value diversity; drive cross-functional team spread across the enterprise
Preferred Qualifications:
Finance, Accounting, or Economics degree and/or related experience.
Experience in Treasury Management, Finance and/or Corporate Treasury roles as well as a strategic planning or line of business function
Experience working with or direct platform ownership of Account Analysis, Treasury Pricing tools, deposit pricing, etc.
