The major responsibility for this position is maintainingand developing new joining methods. The review of 3rd party procedures andcommenting to those procedures will be part of the daily work. This role ispart of a larger materials group which supports all areas of the businessregarding material topics. Other daily work could consist of managing smallresearch projects and supporting laboratory functions.
How You’ll Make an Impact
Support compressor and power generation equipment for theoil/gas industries including developing new products, resolving field issues,and providing technical support on welding related material/processselection.Position supports R&D,product services and new equipment operations
Hands-on experience with carbon steel, low alloy steel,stainless steel, and nickel base alloys
Working in a laboratory to conduct weld proceduredevelopment and procedure qualification
Performing supplier audits, weld document reviews, anddispositioned non-conformances
Actively contribute to small, focused design teams tosupport technology and product development project objectives
Leading small development projects
What You Bring
Bachelor of Science in Engineering field (WeldingEngineering preferred)
7+ years of experience in Welding Engineering
Experience in weld procedure development andprocedure qualification for turbomachinery
Knowledge and understanding of welding laboratoryequipment
Experience with NACE MRO175/103, API-617, ASMEVIII & IX standards, AWS D1.1, B31.3, and ISO 15614
Experience with Additive manufacturing, E-Bwelding, brazing, along with plating, cladding, and coating is preferred.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills

Thebase salary range for this position if based in New York is $100, 000 -$150,000and the annual incentive target is 10% incentive of base salary. Specificoffers are determined by various factors, such as experience, skills,certifications, and other business needs. Employees typically do not startat the top of the range, though compensation depends on each individual’squalifications.
