This is a full-time, non-exempt position with comprehensive benefits package.Essential FunctionsRead blueprints and drawings and take or read measurements to layoutSet up components to be welded based on requirementsOperate grinders, torches plasma cutters, shears and other welding related toolsBe able to read a tape measureWeld components utilizing SMAW processesMaintain conformity to safety requirements and other regulationsOperate telescopic and regular forklifts (training will be included)Other duties as assignedSkills and RequirementsMust be qualified under Section 4 of American Welding Society D1.1 Structural Steel Code or equivalent code for Overhead (4G) and Vertical (3G) or all positions, SMAWStrong initiative required; ability to work independently with minimal direct supervisionAbility to work safely around moving machineryAbility to work in conditions with marked changes in temperature and humidityAbility to withstand exposure to dust, fumes, and gasesAble to lift up to 50 lbsManufacturers training will be an integral part of this position.
