The welder will support Franlin Industries by understanding customer needs and their respectve job duties. They will work to provide support by demonstrating dedication to quality, quantity, and safety. 

　　The welder will perform a variety of welding duties to support the production functions of Franklin Industries. The welder will check parts for the process of the rolls and ensure parts are in proper working order for effiencies.  

　　PLEASE NOTE: This is a Mon-Friday 2nd shift position, typically 2 pm - 10 pm or midnight. Saturdays as needed. Overtime (time and a half) after 40 hours; double time after 61 hours. 

　　DUTIES and RESPONSIBILTIES:

　　Determine the appropriate welding equipment and welding method based on requirements.Select the appropriate tools, materials and gas ratios requiredMeasure, cut and drill materials as neededUse of a variety of equipment including welding torch, hand tools,grinder, presses, vises.Set up components for welding according to specificationsRead prints and drawings, take measurements to plan and layout welding jobsPrepare both metals and work surfaces for production processKeep welding tools clean and functionalPreventative maintenanceMill projects; fabricating, welding, and installing when assigned.Ability to help millwrights on projects and mill needsUse jigs to ensure proper weld buildupFollow all safety procedures and protocolsQUALIFICATIONS:
