Janicki Industries is seeking a hands-on Weld Engineer to work on the Metal Tooling team.  In this role you will support the fabrication of a wide range of aerospace tooling, certified scaffolding, overhead lift equipment, and ASME boiler fabrication.  You must be fluent with all basic weld processes and comfortable working in the shop environment.  It is equally important for candidates to have the ability to work freely on the production floor as is having an in depth knowledge of welding codes, processes, and new technology. 

　　POSITION DESCRIPTION

　　The following essential job functions are performed as a Weld Engineer:

　　Maintains an overview of production processes and facilities and works with Management and Production personnel to develop and implement improvements for optimal resultsCreates new production processes/procedures to better aid in in the completion of composite tooling and/or resolve any problems that may have occurred during the production of the toolAs Research and Design develops new technology, the ME reissues and/or reconstructs production processes in order to implement new technologyPlans and coordinates manufacturing processes on the Production FloorReviews project instructions and blueprints to obtain test specifications, procedures, objectives and test equipment and testing to obtain data for development, standardization and quality control Records test procedures and results, numerical and graphical data and recommendations for changes in product or test methodWorks with Project Managers to identify and mitigate risk in the production processDevelops detailed Production Build Plan packages based upon customer process specifications and engineering drawingsConfers with vendors to determine product specifications and arrange for purchase of equipment, materials, or partsFiles, retrieves and maintains engineering drawings, records, revisions and updates, as neededDrafts detail drawings or sketches to convey technical informationEstimates production times, staffing requirements, and related costs to provide information for management decisionsAnalyzes and plans work force utilization, equipment and workspace requirements for maximum efficiency.Provides direction to new Engineers on the Production FloorPerforms other duties as assignedBehavior: The incumbent must work well under pressure, meeting and completing multiple deadlines.  The incumbent shall, at all times, demonstrate cooperative behavior with colleagues and supervisors.Being at work on time and maintaining good attendance is a condition of employment and is an essential function of the job.

　　 QUALIFICATIONS

　　Due to our ITAR and EAR regulations, applicants must be a US Citizen or of Legal Permanent Resident Status as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b (a) (3).

　　This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Secret Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship Required). Janicki will assist with gaining this access once employed. Special Access Program or other Government Access Requirements are mandatory for this position and requires candidate agreed to enter a Continuous Evaluation program.

　　 EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE 

　　B.S. Welding or Welding Technology required.

　　Minimum of 5 years' experience in a weld engineering role required.

　　Must be familiar with Microsoft Office products and CAD/CAM systems.  Experience with SAP or similar ERP software required.
